Konkona Sen Sharma is now one of the leading actress in Bollywood. She was born on December 3, 1979 in New Delhi, India. Her father Mukul Sharma is a science writer and journalist and his mother Aparna Sen is an actress and a director. Konkona started her career as a child artist in 1983 through the movie 'Indira'.
Konkona Sen's first movie as star was Ek Je Aachhe Kanya in Bengali in 2001. She become famous through the English movie 'Mr. and Mrs. Iyer' directed by her mother. She got National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in this film. She has got lot of offers from Bollywood later and her performance in the Bollywood movie 'Omkara' banged her Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award and National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Konkona Sen was engaged to actor Ranvir Shorey in 2008. Her latest movies include Iti Mrinalini, Mirch, Sunglass, Amavas, Meridian and Mumbai.
